Bath Add-On: $25–$50+ depending on size and coat. Includes bath, towel dry and basic brushing using the client’s bathing area; offered only when the dog can be safely and comfortably bathed.
Additional dog: +$5 per drop-in/walk, +$10 per 12-hour overnight, or +$15/day for Overnight + Daytime or Extended Stay Care.
Additional cat: +$3 per visit or +$5 per overnight/day package. Base pricing includes 1 dog or up to 2 cats. Larger multi-pet households may receive custom pricing.
Pet transportation: starting at $20 plus applicable mileage.
Included at no additional charge: photo/video updates, normal feeding and fresh water, litter scooping, simple oral/topical medication when safely manageable, basic pet-related cleanup, mail/package collection and reasonable plant watering. Senior pets do not automatically cost extra; more involved or complex care may require a custom quote.

Standard rates include travel within 10 miles of Herkimer, NY. Beyond 10 miles, the travel fee is $0.75 per additional mile, each way. For bookings requiring multiple round trips, the applicable travel fee is calculated for each required trip. Your total is provided before confirmation.

Booking Policies
Simple policies for worry-free care.
These policies help us reserve the right amount of time for every family and make expectations clear before a booking is confirmed.
Payment & Deposits
Drop-ins, dog walks, cat care, baths and Adventure & Enrichment services are due after the booking is confirmed and before service begins.
12-Hour Overnight, Overnight + Daytime Care and Extended Stay Care require a 50% deposit at confirmation. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before service begins. Bookings made less than 48 hours before service require payment in full at confirmation.
For overnight/vacation reservations, the 50% booking deposit becomes non-refundable within 7 days of the booking start date.
Cancellations
Drop-ins, walks, cat care & Adventure services: 24+ hours before service: full refund or credit. Less than 24 hours: 50% of the scheduled service is charged. Same-day cancellation after travel has begun or arrival: 100% charged.
Overnight & multi-day packages: 7+ days before: deposit may be refunded or credited. 3–6 days before: 50% of the total booking is charged. Less than 72 hours before: non-refundable.
Exceptional circumstances may be handled at Pawsitive Peace of Mind’s discretion.
Holiday Pricing
Standard holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Surcharge: +$10 per visit or +$20 per overnight/day package.
Premium holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Surcharge: +$20 per visit or +$40 per overnight/day package.
The $10 New Client Special may be used with holiday pricing, but cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.
Last-Minute Bookings
Requests made less than 48 hours before service begins are considered last-minute and are subject to availability.
Last-minute fee: +$10 per booking for drop-ins, walks and cat care; +$20 per booking for overnight/daytime packages.
The fee does not guarantee availability. The fee may be waived for an existing client experiencing a genuine travel delay or emergency.
Early Return
Once a pet-sitting stay has begun, the reserved dates and time have been held specifically for your family. If you return earlier than scheduled, unused services are non-refundable and the original booking total remains due.
In a documented emergency or exceptional circumstance, a partial credit toward a future booking may be offered at our discretion.
Late Return / Trip Extension
Please contact us as soon as you know your return may be delayed. If we are available, continued care is charged at the current applicable service rate, including additional-pet, mileage and holiday charges when applicable.
For genuine travel emergencies such as flight cancellations or severe weather, the normal last-minute fee may be waived. Extensions are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed, but we will make every reasonable effort to ensure pets already in our care are not left without necessary care.

For confirmed Pawsitive Peace of Mind bookings, you can pay directly through our Venmo business profile. Overnight and vacation-care packages require a 50% deposit at confirmation, with the remaining balance due 48 hours before service begins.
